Testa, Negron take Baseball All-NECC honors

Senior outfielder Chris Testa (Providence, R.I. / LaSalle) of the Becker College baseball team has been voted to the All-New England Collegiate Conference First Team in a vote by NECC coaches as announced by the conference this week.

Testa completed one of the storied careers in the history of the Becker baseball program, as he ends his time with the Hawks as the all-time hit leader in school history at 184. Testa hit .360 on the season with 49 hits, three home runs and 21 RBI. Testa also stole 22 bases on the year.

Becker freshman catcher William Negron (Bronx, N.Y. / Salesian) was voted Second Team All-NECC in just his first year with the program. Negron hit .326 with one home run and 19 RBI. The freshman was named NECC Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 29.
