Coach McDonald will look to bring fundamentals as well as a sense of excitement and team unity as he begins his second year with Becker College. McDonald is coming off ten successful years working with Curry College as an assistant coach in a variety of positions most recently as offensive coordinator for the high scoring Colonels. Under McDonald?s direction the 2007 Colonels set New England Football Conference records for most points scored (474) and total offense (5,420 yds.). During his ten years at Curry, the Colonels made it to the post season 7 times, including the NCAA Division 3 playoffs in each of the last five years. The 2007 Colonels finished 19th in the AFCA final Division Three Poll and a number one ranking in the New England Division Three Poll. McDonald played wide receiver at the University of New Haven, where he graduated with a BA in Humanities. He has worked as an assistant coach and advanced scout for his alma mater as well as several other small colleges and high schools in New England. His dedication and experience should be key assets for the Becker College football team in years to come. McDonald currently resides in Dunstable, MA with his wife Deborah. He has a daughter Shaina who is a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University. When not coaching football he enjoys scuba diving, playing the guitar, painting, spending time with family and friends.
