Coach McDonald will look to bring fundamentals as well
as a sense of excitement and team unity as he begins
his second year with Becker College. McDonald is coming off
ten successful years working with Curry College as an assistant
coach in a variety of positions most recently as offensive
coordinator for the high scoring Colonels. Under McDonald?s
direction the 2007 Colonels set New England Football Conference
records for most points scored (474) and total offense (5,420
yds.). During his ten years at Curry, the Colonels made it to the
post season 7 times, including the NCAA Division 3 playoffs in each
of the last five years. The 2007 Colonels finished 19th in the AFCA
final Division Three Poll and a number one ranking in the New
England Division Three Poll. McDonald played wide receiver at the
University of New Haven, where he graduated with a BA in
Humanities. He has worked as an assistant coach and advanced scout
for his alma mater as well as several other small colleges and high
schools in New England. His dedication and experience should be key
assets for the Becker College football team in years to come.
McDonald currently resides in Dunstable, MA with his wife Deborah.
He has a daughter Shaina who is a senior at Florida Gulf Coast
University. When not coaching football he enjoys scuba diving,
playing the guitar, painting, spending time with family and
friends.

Jose Santana will return for his second year coaching
the Running Backs at Becker College. Santana is coming off sixteen
years as a successful assistant coach in a variety of positions at
both Windsor High School and Hartford Public High School in the
Hartford, CT area. While coaching in Connecticut Santana won a
class LL state championship in 1994 with Hartford Public. He also
won four CCC East conference titles; as well as a West Conference
title while coaching at Windsor High school. Santana is a graduate
of Hartford Public High School, where he was captain of the
football team and was selected to the all City District Conference
as a fullback in 1984. His years of experience and dedication
should be key assets for the Becker College football team in years
to come. Coach Santana resides in Windsor, CT with his daughter
Amanda Santana, who is attending Becker College. During the off
season he enjoys spending time with friends, family and taking
photography. Coach Santana is currently attending Becker College in
the accelerated evening program and working towards a BS in
Business Administration.

Coach Bill Gerardi joins the 2009 Becker staff, reuniting him
with his former University of New Haven teammate Coach McDonald.
Coach Gerardi brings many years of coaching experience at a variety
of levels of football most recently at Rham High School in
Connecticut where he was running backs coach and special teams
coordinator.
He currently resides in Hebron Ct with his wife Jamie and his
sons Christian and Willie.

Coach Snay was the Offensive Coordinator for the New England
Surge Professional Indoor Football team for the 2007 and 2008
seasons. Lead the 2007 New England Surge to a 10-5 record; as well
as appearance in the conference championship game.
Coach Snay was the Head Football Coach at South High in
Worcester, MA from 2003-2008. In 2006 he led the Colonels to a 12-0
Division 3A Super Bowl Championship.
From 2000 to 2002, Coach Snay was the Offensive Line Coach at
Worcester State College helping the Lancers with a record of 26-5
during his tenure. Coach Snay was part of a staff that achieved an
84% winning percentage (the best in school history) and the
colleges first ECAC Championships in 2001. In 2002 he helped coach
the Lancers to an ECAC Runner Up. During his tenure at Worcester
State the Lancers set 21 new offensive records.
Coach Snay played offensive line for the Marlboro Shamrocks
winning 11 National Championships in the AFA, USFA, and MLFN. He is
a member of National Minor League Football's Team of the Decade
1990's and a member of the Marlboro Shamrock Century Club for
players with more than 100 games played.
After winning the 1985 Super Bowl with St. John's Shrewsbury, he
played offensive line at the University of New Hampshire in 1986
before transferring to UMASS Amherst. While at UMASS he sustained
two rotator cuff surgeries; which cut his collegiate career short.
While at UMASS he met his wife Susan of 18 years and now reside in
Shrewsbury with their daughter Corrin 16, sons Jay 15, and Colin
12. Coach Snay has been a Special Education Teacher for the
Worcester Public Schools for the past 10 years.

Coach Marc Groccia returns to Becker College for his second
stint as an assistant coach. The former Nichols College All
New-England Conference Offensive Lineman most recently held the
offensive coordinator position at Oxford High School. He was also
an assistant coach at Worcester South High School for two seasons
in addition to his two seasons at Becker.
Coach Groccia brings an extensive background of playing
experience on both sides of the ball as the starting center for the
New England Surge arena football team; as well as several semi-pro
teams including the New England Knights. He played offensive line
at both Nichols and Sacred Heart University.
He lives in Worcester with his wife Lyndee.
