Field Hockey Stays Perfect in NECC

Boston, MA - Victoria Sirchia (Goshen, CT) scored three goals to help Becker defeat host Wheelock College 4-0 Saturday in conference action. The win improves the hawks to 3-0 in the NECC and 5-5 overall while Wheelock falls to 1-2 in the NECC and 1-8 overall.

Sirchia and teammate Kristal Swiderski (Warren, MA) provided all of the offense while Becker's defense limited Wheelock to just four shots on goal all afternoon. Sirchia gave her team the 1-0 advantage when she laced a pass from teammate Rachel Fink (Bath, PA) for the score. Jennifer Ouellette (Merrimack, NH) and Katlyn Eisele (Walton, NY) each had an assist while goalie Ciara Lawerence (Costa Mesa, CA) stopped four shots to record the shutout.

Wheelock goalie Meredith Ross recorded 14 saves on the afternoon.

Wheelock will next travel to Daniel Webster College Wednesday for a 3:30 NECC showdown.
