Field Hockey Gets Blanked By Salem State

Leicester, Mass.- Salem State shutout Becker College 3-0 in women's field hockey action.
Salem got on the board 4:20 into the contest, when Kaitlyn Aronian (Chelmsford, Mass.) scored her first goal of the season. The Vikings made the score 2-0, when Katie LaPrad (Spencer, Mass) redirected a shot from Catherine Dowling (Somerville, NJ), past the dive of Becker goalkeeper Jordan Godin (Blackstone, Mass).
Salem State put the game out of reach 45:59 into the game, when April Rossetti (Saugus, Mass) drove past the Becker defense, putting the Vikings up 3-0.
Jessica McKenna (Rowley, Mass) made 3 saves in a winning effort. The Vikings improved to 2-1 on the season.
Jordan Godin made 4 saves in a losing effort. The Hawks fell to 1-4 on the season.
