Field Hockey Sweeps Weekly NECC Awards

 PLAYER OF THE WEEK -Becker College junior defender Kayla Messina (Somerville, Mass.) led the backfield defense in two NECC shutouts, while tallying four goals for eight points. In a 2-0 win over Wheelock, Messina netted one goal while coming back later in the week to tally a hat trick in a 7-0 shut down of Elms.

 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK -Fellow Becker College freshman forward Morgan Gass (Avon, Conn.) scored the eventual game winner in a 7-0 shutout of Elms College. Gass helped the Hawks to a 2-0 conference week also defeating Wheelock 2-0. For the week, she finished with two goals and six points.
