Hawks Glide Past Anna Maria
Leicester, Mass.- Becker College had four players in double figures, as the Hawks defeated Anna Maria 104-66 in men's basketball action.
In the first half, the Hawks took control of the game when they put together a 14-0 run. The Hawks extended their lead to as much as 27 before the end of the half. Travis Suber (Springfield, Mass) led the Hawks with 13 first half points. Michael Massey (New Haven, Conn) added 12 first half points, to propel the Hawks to a 57-31 lead at halftime.
The 2nd half was much like the 1st, as the Hawks continued to widen their lead. Markus Wright (New Haven, Conn) led the Hawks with 16 points in just 9 minutes of play. The Hawks led by as much as 44 points.
Derek Johnson (Worcester, Mass) led the AMCats with 12 points in a losing effort. Anna Maria fell to 2-5 with the lost. Becker was led by Markus Wright, who had 22 points. Travis suber added 20 points in the winning effort. Becker improved its record to 3-2, with their 2nd straight 100 plus point performace.
