Hawks Glide Past Southern Vermont

Leicester, Mass.- Becker went on a 27-3 first half run and never looked back, as the Hawks defeated Southern Vermont 80-53 in New England Collegiate Conference men's basketball action.

Becker was led by Terrance Favors (Boston, Mass.) with 19 points. Travis Suber (Springfield, Mass.) continued his run towards 1,000 points (891), as he scored 17 points in just 16 minutes of action. Becker improved its record to 12-5 overall and 5-2 in the NECC. The Hawks are just one win shy of tying last season's win total. Becker will play Wheelock College on Wednesday night.

Southern Vermont shot just under 28% from the field in the loss. Jaret Falkowitz (Scotia, NY) led all scorers with 20 points. Cameron Herrington (Cambridge, NY) chipped in will 14 points. Southern Vermont fell to 5-12 overall and 2-5 in the NECC. The Mountaineers will host Western Connecticut State on Wednesday night.
