Brandeis downs Men's Basketball behind Three-Point barrage

LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College men's basketball team lost 74-52 to visiting Brandeis College on Thursday evening at the Leicester Gymnasium on the Becker campus in Leicester.

FOR THE HAWKS
• Becker senior forward Dewayne Thomas (Lowell, Mass. / Lowell) finished with 16 points with three rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
• Becker senior guard Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass. / St. John's) had 13 points with four steals and two assists.
• Becker sophomore Jamir Carr (Philadelphia, Penn. / Universal Audenried) chipped in six points, four rebounds and two steals.
• The Hawks collectively had 13 steals, compared to one for the Judges.

FOR THE JUDGES
• Brandeis junior guard Collin Sawyer (New London, Conn. / New London) shot six-of-eight from the floor, scoring a game-high 18 points with five rebounds.
• Brandeis sophomore forward Chandler Jones (Springfield, Mass. / Springfield) finished with 15 points, five rebounds and five assists.
• Brandeis guard Eric D'Aguanno (Saunderstown, R.I. / Saint Andrews) came off the bench to score 14 points in just 20 minutes.
• As a team, the Judges shot 12-of-26 from behind the arc, good for 46.2 percent.

TURNING POINT
• The Judges jumped out to a 20 point lead with 8:46 left in the first half, behind a blistering array of three-point shooting. Becker pulled to within 13 with 3:38 to go in the period off a layup from Carr, but that was as close as they could come.

UP NEXT
The Hawks face Worcester State on Tuesday at home at 6:00 p.m. The Judges host Wesleyan on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
