Men’s Hoops fall to Southern Vermont

BENNINGTON, Vt. --- The Becker College men's basketball team lost 76-54 at Southern Vermont College on Thursday night at the Mountaineer Athletic Center in Bennington, Vermont.

FOR THE HAWKS
• Junior forward Antonio White Jr. (Middletown, Conn. / Middletown) led Becker with 15 points and five rebounds.
• Senior forward Dewayne Thomas (Lowell, Mass. / Lowell) finished one rebound short of a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.
• Freshman guard Marc O'Neal (Dayton, Ohio / Archbishop Alter) came off the bench to score eight points with three rebounds in just 15 minutes.
• Sophomore Jamir Carr (Philadelphia, Penn. / Universal Audenried) scored five points with three rebounds.
• Senior guard Jayson Chavis (Waterbury, Conn. / Wilby) chipped in with two points, three assists and two steals.

TURNING POINT
• Becker jumped out to an 8-2 lead but Southern Vermont rallied, later going on 18-0 run to take a double-digit lead. The Mountaineers would never trail again.

UP NEXT
The Hawks will be back on the court on Saturday when they host Dean College in a 1:00 p.m. game.
