Golf drops match to Anna Maria
PAXTON, Mass.-- Freshman Dylan Jarmulowicz (Leicester, Mass.) shot a 7-over 79 to top the leader board as the Anna Maria College men's golf team pulled out a three-stroke victory over Becker College, 347-350, at Blackstone National Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon.
Jarmulowicz birdied the par-3 third hole and the par-4 14th, finishing five strokes ahead of the pack. Anna Maria's Mike Blomgren (Auburn, Mass.) and Becker's Tim Staley (Chicago, Ill.) tied for second place each shooting an 84. Becker's John DiNardi (East Haddam, Conn.) and Ben Malone (Westborough, Mass.) rounded out the top five each shooting an 86.
Becker takes on Newbury College next time out at Leicester Country Club on Saturday. The AMCATS return to the linx on October 23rd when they will play in the TCCC Championship at Essex.
