Ice Hawks Lend A Hand

Worcester, Mass.- The Becker College men's ice hockey team became involved with the City of Worcester in 2007. During the qualifying time frame, the team volunteered for the City's Festival of Lights event, held an indoor hockey clinic at Elm Park Community School, and volunteered at the Pitch, Hit, and Run event for Parks & Recreation.

The hockey players served as role models for the young children who took part in the events and provided much-needed support, contributing to the success of the city's events.

The Parks & Recreation department holds or collaborates on events that enhance the quality of life in the City and provide fun, safe, and educational opportunities for young people. With ever decreasing funds, this work is strongly supported by volunteers.
