Men’s Lacrosse Sunk By Buccaneers

Leicester, Mass.- Mass. Maritime scored 5 unanswered goals in the 2nd quarter, as the Buccaneers defeated Becker College 15-6 in men's lacrosse action.

The Buccaneers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on goals from Jake Bickley (Wilbraham, Mass.) and Kevin Schultz (Crofton, Md). Becker cut the Maritime lead in half when Jon Nessen (Levittown, PA) scored his 15th goal of the season.

The 2nd quarter belonged to the Buccaneers as five different players scored goals. John Herman (Stamford, Conn.) got things started with an unassisted goal 1:46 into the 2nd frame.  Jake Bickley then scored his 2nd goal of the game, putting Maritime up 4-1.  The Buccaneers took advantage of a Becker slashing penalty, as Kevin Schultz scored with the one man advantage. Wil Doucette and Craig Nichols added goals before the half, putting Maritime up 7-1 at the break.
