Hawks Fall to Eastern Conn.
Willimantic, Conn.- Becker lost to Eastern Connecticut 3-0 ,in the first ever meeting between the two programs.
The Hawks and Warriors played a scoreless first half. The Eastern defense was solid, not allowing a single Becker shot until the 2nd half. In the 2nd half, Maxim Fantl took control of the game. In the 57th minute Fantl intercepted a header from the Becker defense and drove it past Aaron Fill (Delta, B.C) for the lead. Fantl added his 2nd goal of the game just 43 seconds later when Scott Mishley threaded Fantl a cross for the 2-0 lead. In the 76th minute Mike vekakis blasted a ball past the dive of goalkeeper Aaron Fill from 25 yards out, puttting the Warriors up comfortably.
Aaron Fill was under fire all day, as he faced 13 Eastern Shots. The Hawks fell to 5-5-1 on the year. Becker will try to get back on track Saturday, when they face the Mountaineers of Southern Vermont.
