Men's Soccer Nets First Win of The Season
Leicester, Mass.- Becker scored two unanswered goals in the second half, in route to a 2-1 victory over Lyndon State in men's soccer action.
Lyndon State scored their lone goal of the game with just under three minutes to play in the first half. Anthony Dana (Springfield, VT) tipped a feed from Charlie Jobi (Groton, VT) , just past the dive of Becker goalkeeper Aaron Fill (Ladner, BC).
The Hawks tied the game in the 57th minute, when Matheaus Souza (Framingham, Mass) scored his first goal of the season on a header. Souza was fed from senior Snjezan Telebak (Chicago, IL). The Hawks scored the game winner in the 67th minute, when Snjezan Telebak rebound a Brian Conway (Billerica, Mass) shot, past the dive of Lyndon State goalkeeper Ian Oliver (Westport, Mass.).
Ian Oliver made 3 saves, as the Hornets fell to 3-2 on the season. Aaron Fill also made 3 saves as the Hawks improved to 1-3 on the year.
