Lady Hawks Claw Terriers 23-6


Leicester, Mass. - The Becker College Hawks defeated Thomas College 23-6 in a New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance Conference action today at Alumni Field. The Hawks record hits the .500 mark at 5-5 (2-2 NEWLA) while the Terriers drop to 0-6 (0-4 NEWLA).

Becker scored the game's first 11 goals and took a commanding 15-1 lead into halftime. The Terriers we outshot 44-15 by the Hawks.

Sophomore midfielder Tammy Mullen (Pottstown, PA) once again led the Hawks in scoring; Mullen finished the game with 10 goals and an assist. That brings her season total to an astounding 67 goals. Freshman midfielder Morgan Hazen (Woodstock, VT) netted 5 goals, junior attack Renee Landry (Acton, ME) scored 4goals and freshman Nicole Lijana (Moorestown, NJ) added a hat trick for Becker.

Thomas College was led by Megan Denby (Capaigue, NY) who tallied three times and Tanya Berry (South Paris, ME) who had two goals. Goaltender Nicole Foss (Addison, ME) had 18 saves in the loss.

The Hawks return to action on Thursday April 9th when they host St. Joe's (Conn.) at 5:30 pm.
