Bison Rumble Past Lady Hawks
Leicester, Mass- Nichols College outshot Becker 20-7 in route to a 3-0 win in non-conference women's soccer action.
Nichols scored their first goal 21:34 into the game, when Samantha Abro (Northborough, Mass) tipped a pass to Holly Ventura (Hudson, Mass) for her second goal of the season. The score was the first goal allowed by Shannon Tibbetts (Warren, Mass) in over 326 minutes.
The Bison scored their second goal of the game on a header from Samantha Abro. The goal was Abro's team best ninth goal of the season. Nichols put the game out of reach in the 66th minute, when Maryanne Lanzoni (Wilbraham, Mass) ripped a shot to the right of Tibbetts, giving Nichols a 3-0 advantage. Kaitlyn Dibuono (Auburn, Mass) had the assist on the final two Bison goals.
Nicole Johnson (Westhampton, Mass) made three saves to earn the win. Nichols improved to 3-5 on the season.
Shannon Tibbetts made ten saves in a losing effort. The Hawks fell to 4-2 on the season.
