Women's Soccer Beats Daniel Webster In OT


Nashua - Catherine Millette (Columbia, Conn.) converted a penalty kick with 1:34 remaining in double overtime delivering the Becker College women's soccer team a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over host Daniel Webster College in a NECC matchup Saturday at Eagle Field.

Millette's gamer gave the Hawks (5-2, 1-0 NECC) their fourth win in their last five outings, while the Eagles (3-2, 1-1 NECC), playing in their third straight double overtime game, saw a two-game win streak snapped.

The Hawks forced overtime when Jocelyn Nute (Littleton, N.H.) redirected a Millette pass with just 1:33 remaining in regulation.

The Eagles had jumped ahead 10:33 into the contest when TC DiSantis (Hinsdale, Mass.) sent a long corner kick hooking toward the far left corner of the Becker net that bounced off a Hawk defender and in for an own goal.

Amy Waller (Berlin, Mass.) finished with eight saves for the Eagles, while Shannon Tibbetts (Warren, Mass.) made foure stops for Becker
