Womens Tennis Keeps Rolling

New London, Conn.- The women's tennis team defeated Mitchell College 9-0, to earn their 4th win in a row.
In singles play, Allison Flynn (Wilmington, MA) went out and showed why she is the New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week. Flynn defeated Mitchell's number one player in straight sets 7-5, 6-4. Catherine Sivret (Stow, MA) remained perfect on the season with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win over Lauren Rowley. Megan Nessan (Levittown, PA) also showed why she was named New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, as she defeated Jennifer Travella 6-0, 6-1. Nessan is currently tied with teammate Shauna McNally (Worcester, MA) with 7 wins on the season.
In doubles play, the duo of Allison Flynn and Catherine Sivret remained perfect on the season with an 8-1 victory over DeAnna Panico and Jennifer Travella. The other two sets of Becker Doubles, Shauna McNally, Danielle Stryker (Ledyard, CT) and Megan Nessan, Stephanie Sabolik (Stony Point, NY) won their matches 8-0.
The Hawks will go for their 5th straight win as they host Saint Joseph College of Connecticut at 3pm.
