Women's Tennis Beats Eastern Naz. 9-0

Leicester, Mass. - The women's tennis team pounded Eastern Nazarene 9-0 to earn their first win of the season.  In singles play, Becker one seed Allison Flynn (Wilmington, MA) defeated Allison Cammarata 6-2, 6-0. In her first singles match of the season Catherine Sivret (Plainville, MA) was forced to play in mere darkness to beat Amy Casey 4-6, 7-6, 1-0. Megan Nessan (Levittown, PA), Danielle Stryker (Ledyard, CT), Shauna McNally (Worcester, MA) and Sarah Ryzewski (Spencer, MA) also earned victories in singles.

In doubles action the Hawks made quick work of Eastern Naz. Megan Nessan and Catherine Sivret defeated Allison Cammarata and Katie Madison 8-5. Allison Flynn and Stephanie Sabolik defeated Amy Casey and Laura Keith 8-3. The Lady Hawks finished the doubles sweep when Shauna McNally and Danielle Stryker defeated Heather LaFountain and Stephanie Pestilli 8-2.

On Saturday, Becker (1-2) will start New England Collegiate Conference action when the host Mitchell College (1-0) at 1:00.
