Volleyball Drops Two At MCLA

North Adams- MCLA made quick work of Becker College winning 3-0. MCLA continued their trend of jumping out early on teams. MCLA took game one easily 25-13. Becker responded in game 2 putting together a solid effort and had game point at 24-23. MCLA however was able to stave off game point and came back to win 27-25. Game 3 was a repeat of the first game as the Trailblazers quickly rebounded and jumped out early 9-3. MCLA raced through the final game 25-10.

 

The offense was led by a balanced attack of hitters, Tasha Berroa (Brooklyn, NY), Christina Kidd (Glens Falls, NY) and Kayla Bromback (Lee,

MA) combined for 21 kills. The threesome was being set up as usual by senior Marta Brown (Glens Falls, NY) who led with 23 assists. The defense was led by Amanda Lane (Swansea, MA) and Kidd; while freshman Sarah Greenwood (Northfield, MA) is also establishing herself on that end.

Greenwood had 5 digs.

 

Becker got a solid all around performance from junior Kelsea Laubenstein (Randolph, MA); Laubenstein led Becker in assists.  JulieTrcka (Shelton,

CT) also played well leading with 10 digs.
