Henniker, N.H. --- The Becker College field hockey team lost 5-3 at New England College on Saturday in their regular season finale at Don Melander Field in Nashua.

• NEC senior forward Brittany Tierney (Ottawa, Ontario / John McCrae) recorded a hat trick with three goals on the day off five shots. Tierney's three goals were the first three of the game as the Pilgrims went ahead 3-0.
• NEC freshman forward Sofia Castriotta (Framingham, Mass.) tallied one goal and two assists. Castriotta's goal 1:47 into the second half proved to be the eventual game-winner.
• NEC senior forward Taylor Daileanes (Londonderry, N.H. / Londonderry) scored an insurance goal for the Pilgrims in the 58th minute.
• Becker junior midfielder Amy Cooper (Monument, Colo. / Lewis Palmer) scored the Hawks first goal to put the visitors on the board in the 27th minute.
• Becker freshman midfielder Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, Mass. / Shrewsbury) slapped a shot in from the right side in the 38th minute to pull the Hawks to within two.
• Becker freshman forward Emily Iacovelli (Northbridge, Mass. / Blackstone Valley Technical) scored her sixth goal of the season to pull Becker to within one in the 40th minute.
• Becker freshman goalkeeper Victoria Pilpel (Germantown, Md. / Seneca Valley) finished with five saves on the day.
• The Pilgrims had a 21 to 10 advantage in total shots.

The Hawks have clinched the two seed in the upcoming NECC Championship Tournament. They will play host to the three seed, Elms College, on Wednesday, October 31st at Alumni Field in Leicester.
