It didn't take long for the first goal of the afternoon to find the net with senior Danita Storey (Cumberland, Maine) netting her second goal of the season at 7:00.

After drawing a penalty corner, junior Allie Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) passed to Storey. After settling the pass, Storey fired a shot to the far side and in for a 1-0 lead.

Thomas doubled their lead late in the second quarter with a goal under two minutes remaining in the half.  Britney Gregoire benefitted from a Hawks turnover, netting her team-leading seventh goal of the season.

Britney Gregoire knocked down a knee-high pass from her twin sister, sophomore Lindsey Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine), who was credited with the assist after Britney Gregoire fired it in for a 2-0 lead.

The Hawks battled back and cut the deficit in half early in the fourth quarter. Sophomore Emily Iacovelli (Northbridge, Mass.) returned to the scoresheet to make the score 2-1.

After earning a penalty corner, Hawks sophomore Kylian Kelly (Shrewsbury, Mass.) passed to Iacovelli, who settled the pass and broke up the shutout, scoring her team-leading sixth of the season at 49:12.

Becker nearly benefitted from a third-quarter shot by senior Amy Cooper (Monument, Colo.) but her attempt hit the far post and bounced out, maintaining the Terriers 2-0 lead at the time.

  • Iacovelli now has goals in five of her seven games this season, including one goal in each game of her last three appearances.
  • Kelly is up to a team-high three assists after providing the helper on Iacovelli's goal.
  • Sophomore Baileigh Griese (Woodstock, N.Y.) turned aside eight shots but falls to 4-6 with the loss.

  • Britney Gregoire is on a five-game goal streak with her tally. In total, she has all seven of her goals in the past five games.
  • In back-to-back games, the Gregoire trio of Britney, Allie, and Lindsey have all found the scoresheet.
  • Senior Leah Kruse (Norridgewock, Maine) takes credit for the win, improving to 3-2 after her five save outing.
