LEICESTER, Mass.- Becker College defeated Wheelock College 90-70 in New England Collegiate Conference men's basketball action Tuesday evening at the Leicester Gymnasium. The win lifts the Hawks record to 13-10 (10-4 NECC) while the Wildcats fall to 5-17 (2-11 NECC).
Becker shot over 50 percent from the field and 55 percent from beyond the arc for the game. Kyle Credle (Queens, N.Y.) led the way for the Hawks with a game-high 22 points. Samuel Dorodola (Rosedale, N.Y.) earned his tenth double-double of the season after tallying 18 points and 13 boards. Reginald Finney (Ansonia, Conn.) contributed 14 points while freshman Kareem Davis (Lowell, Mass.) chipped in with 11 points and a team-best six assists.
The Wildcats were led by Dejuan Rodriguez (New Britain, Conn.) with 13 points. Pablo Tovar (LaJoya, Texas) came off the bench to score 12 points, while Joe Reedy (Orlando, Fla.) was came a basket shy off a double-double with nine points and a team-high 11 rebounds. Reedy also dished out a game-high seven assists.
Both teams will continue NECC action on Thursday, February 18th. Becker will host Daniel Webster at 6:00 p.m. while Wheelock travels to Regis College for a 7:00 p.m. tilt with the Pride.
