Men's Basketball can’t stop Springfield in Tuesday night tilt

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. --- The Becker College men's basketball team lost 90-64 on Tuesday evening at Springfield College at Blake Arena in Springfield, Massachusetts.

FOR THE HAWKS OF BECKER

  • Becker junior forward Mateus Ribeiro (Sao Paulo, Brazil / Colegio Pedroso e Oliveira) continued to lead the Hawks with 18 points, shooting three-of-five from behind the arc.
  • Becker junior forward Jamir Carr (Philadelphia, Penn. / Universal Audenried) filled the stat line with 15 points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks. The third-year Hawk shot seven-of-ten from the floor.
  • Freshman guard Yanni Augustave (Hollywood, Fla. / Chaminade-Madonna) came off the bench to score nine points in 17 minutes.

FOR THE PRIDE OF SPRINGFIELD

  • Springfield senior guard Jake Ross (Northampton, Mass. / Williston) led the Pride with a game-high 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds, six assists, five steals and a block. Ross shot 13-of-19 from the floor.
  • Senior forward Heath Post (Cheshire, Conn. / Cheshire) posted 21 points with nine boards.
  • Freshman guard Robert Baum (West Springfield, Mass. / St. Andrew's) came off the bench to score 11 points.

UP NEXT
The Hawks are back on the court on Thursday when the host Western Connecticut State in their home opener, that tipping off at 6:00 p.m. The Pride returns to action on Wednesday, December 4 when they host Trinity College in a 7:30 p.m. game.
