Nichols swamps Men’s Soccer

DUDLEY, Mass. --- The Becker College men's soccer team lost 6-1 at Nichols College on Tuesday afternoon at NC Soccer Field in Dudley.

FOR THE HAWKS
• Sophomore forward Isaiah McCaskill (Springfield, Mass. / Springfield Renaissance) scored with just 28 seconds left in the game, assisted by senior defender Jonathan Gonzalez (Douglas, Mass. / Douglas).
• Junior goalkeeper Sam Majewski (Warren, Mass. / Quaboag Regional Middle) finished with seven saves in 90 minutes for Becker.

FOR THE BISON
• Nichols jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead after 12 minutes of play thanks to a pair of goals from sophomore Evan Lemoine who netted his fifth and sixth goals of the season. The Bison picked up two more goals in the first half from sophomore Ryan Mangan and senior Jacob Sargent.
• Nichols added two more goals in the second half from sophomore James Chasco-Dimauro and senior Corey McEvoy. Nichols outshot Becker 25-22 in the match and 13-12 with shots on goal. Senior Juan Carlos De La Cruz made five saves in the first half before being replaced by sophomore Dylan Woodside who made his first appearance of the season and made six saves in the second half.

UP NEXT
The Hawks are back on the field on Friday when they travel to Eastern Nazarene College for a 7:00 p.m. NECC matchup.
