Three Hawks voted NECC Women's Basketball All-Conference

LEICESTER, Mass. --- Three student-athletes from the Becker College women's basketball team have been voted to the 2018-2019 New England College Conference (NECC) All-Conference team in an announcement by the NECC on Tuesday. Awards are voted on by NECC coaches.

Senior forwards Adrianna Dowdy (East Haven, Conn. / Hill Regional Career) and Ciara McKissick (Charlton, Mass. / Shepherd Hill Regional) and junior guard Cassidy Harrison (Foxborough, Mass. / Foxborough) were each voted as All-NECC Second Team selections.

Dowdy averages 11.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. Just this past week, Dowdy passed the school record in total career rebounds with 1013. It is the senior team captain's third consecutive year being voted to the All-Conference team.

McKissick leads the NECC in assists with 4.4 per game. The senior team captain also averaged 8.4 points per game on 47.4 percent shooting with 7.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. McKissick tallied her second career triple-double earlier this season. It is McKissick's second time making the All-Conference team.

Harrison provides the scoring punch for the Hawks, averaging 14.6 points per game with a team-high 2.4 steals. Harrison was the Tournament Most Valuable Player after last year's championship run. The 2017 NECC Rookie of the Year, it is her third consecutive year being voted to the All-Conference team.

Joining the trio was junior forward Sarah Ware (Oakham, Mass. / Quabbin Regional), who was named to the NECC Sportsmanship Team.

Becker will host Newbury College on Tuesday evening in the quarterfinals of the NECC Championship Tournament. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
