Harrison’s 26 not enough as Women's Basketball sinks to Mariners

NEW LONDON, Conn. --- Senior guard Cassidy Harrison (Foxborough, Mass. / Foxborough) scored 26 points as the Becker College women's basketball team lost 71-48 at Mitchell College on Thursday evening in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) play at the Yarnall Athletic Center in New London, Connecticut.

FOR THE HAWKS OF BECKER

  • Harrison shot 10-of-19 from the floor and three-of-five from behind the arc. She also pulled down six rebounds with one assist and one steal. The senior team captain has been on a tear of late, averaging 27.0 points per game over her last three games.
  • Senior forward Sarah Ware (Oakham, Mass. / Quabbin Regional) scored 13 points with five rebounds and two assists.          

FOR THE MARINERS OF MITCHELL

  • Amina Wiley posted a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way. Kelsey Hernandez netted 17 points to go with six rebounds and five assists on senior night, and Le'Sandra Turner finished with 12 points and four assists.
