Johnson Named Colonial Hockey Conference Goaltender of the Week

LEICESTER, Mass. – Becker women's ice hockey's senior Julia Johnson (Littleton, Colo.) has been named the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) goaltender of the week, as announced by the league Monday (Jan. 21) afternoon.


Johnson went 2-0 in net this past week and earned her first shutout victory of the season.  She stopped 39 shots to lead the Hawks to a 3-1 win over Suffolk on Tuesday.  She followed that with a 26-save shutout against Division II Post University in Friday's 2-0 win.  On the week the senior netminder recorded 65 saves and surrendered one goal for a .985 save percentage.


The Becker women's ice hockey team will be back in action this Friday (Jan. 25), hosting Salve Regina in a 7:05 p.m. CHC matchup at the Worcester Ice Center.
