Maine Maritime shuts down Women's Lacrosse


LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College women's lacrosse team fell 12-0 to the Maine Maritime Academy in nonconference action on Sunday.

The Mariners of Maine Maritime (1-1) were led by senior Shelby O'Neil (Bar Harbor, Maine), with six goals and one assist on the day. Alongside sophomore Sydney Adams (Trumbull, Conn.) who contributed four herself. Combining for ten of the twelve goals for the Mariners offense. The other two goals were scored by sophomore Madison Savary (Bath, Maine), and senior Charlette Bradly (Slidell, La.).

For the Hawks of Becker (0-2), goalie Nikolle Storey (Cumberland, Maine) tallied ten saves on twenty-two shots. Sydney Theriault (Brookfield, Conn.) and Samantha Carter (Boothbay Harbor, Maine) both lead the hawks with three Ground balls.

Becker is back on the field on Thursday when they host Mount Ida College at 4:00 p.m.
