Women's Lacrosse: Hawks down Lions; 2-0 for first time

BOSTON, Mass. --- The Becker College women's lacrosse team prevailed 13-6 at Emerson College on Saturday afternoon at Rotch Field in Boston. With the win, the Hawks are now 2-0 for the first time in the twelve-year history of the program.

• Freshman attacker Clare Conway (Billerica, Mass. / Billerica Memorial) led the Hawks with a career-high four goals in just her second game as a Hawk. Conway also dished out five assists.
• Conway's fellow freshman attacker Julia Ravenelle (Barrington, N.H. / Oyster River) posted a hat trick with three goals.
• Junior midfielder Cassandra Nelson (Exeter, N.H. / Exeter) scored twice for Becker, as did junior midfielder Samantha Carter (Boothbay Harbor, Maine / Boothbay Region).
• Freshman attacker Shannon Siclari (West Haven, Conn. / West Haven) and sophomore attacker Arianna Calouro (East Providence, R.I. / East Providence) both scored goals for the Hawks as well.
• Senior goalkeeper Nikolle Storey (Cumberland, Maine / Kents Hill) backstopped the Becker defense with 13 saves.

The Hawks are scheduled to be back on the field on Wednesday when they host Rivier University at 4:30 p.m.
