Dupree, Bampi voted NECC Women’s Volleyball All-Conference

LEICESTER, Mass. --- Two student-athletes from the Becker College women's volleyball have been voted to the 2018-2019 New England College Conference (NECC) All-Conference team in an announcement by the NECC on Monday. Awards are voted on by NECC coaches.

Senior middle blocker Kayla Dupree (North Bergen, N.J. / Bronx High School of Science) was voted third-team All-Conference after leading the Hawks in kills (168), kills per set (2.10), solo blocks (28), block assists (24), total blocks (52) and total points (248.0). Dupree has been an All-NECC selection all four of her years with the program.

Freshman libero Joanna Bampi (Peabody, Mass. / Peabody Veterans Memorial) was voted third-team All-Conference in just her first season with the program after leading the Hawks in digs (415) and digs per set (5.19). Earlier this season, Bampi became the first Becker player since 2013 to be named the NECC Rookie of the Week, that for week ending September 16th, 2018.

Junior outside hitter Sofia Cullina (Deep River, Conn. / Valley Regional) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

The Hawks, the fifth seed in the NECC Tournament, will travel to New England College on Tuesday evening for a 7:00 p.m. match in the Conference Quarterfinals.
