WORCESTER, Mass. --- The Becker College women's volleyball team lost in straight sets at Worcester State University on Thursday evening at Brissette Court on Worcester, falling 25-20, 25-12, 25-10.

FOR THE HAWKS
• Senior middle blocker Gillian Criddle (Earleville, Md. / Bohemia Manor) had her best performance since returning to the Becker lineup, tallying four block assists to lead the Hawks' defensive efforts at the net.
• Sophomore libero Joanna Bampi (Peabody, Mass. / Peabody Veterans) racked up 18 digs on the night, a match-high.
• Senior outside hitter Sofia Cullina (Deep River, Conn. / Valley Regional) added three kills on the night, with six digs.
FOR THE LANCERS
• Gillis finished as the match leader with 17 kills, with seven in each the second and third sets. Senior Stephanie Chapin (Hampden, Mass.) recorded eight kills with no errors on 15 attacks for an attack percentage of .533 to lead all players. The match's only double-double belonged to Gagnon, who finished with 28 assists and 11 digs despite only playing in sets one and two. Junior Madison Kuzio (Franklin, Mass.) recorded 11 digs of her own to serve as Worcester State's co-leader.
The Hawks are back on the court on Saturday when they begin their NECC play by traveling to New England College for a 1:00 p.m. match.
